Robert “Kool” Bell is one of the founding members of the legendary Pop/R&B group Kool & the Gang, the seven-time Grammy award-winners who also earned many American Music Awards. A multi-platinum-selling group and the most sampled band of all time, Kool & the Gang has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of generations with 25 Top Ten R&B hits, 9 Top Ten Pop hits, and 31 gold and platinum albums.
Prince Hakim Bell
As the scion of a musical empire, DJ Prince Hakim (Bell) brings proof of generational genius. As the son of Robert “Kool” Bell, founder of the legendary Kool & the Gang; having such a musical pedigree influenced his earliest interest in the industry. Now, with years of professional music experience under his belt, he launched his new collaboration with R&B/Pop singer Walt Anderson entitled, R.O.Y.A.L.T.Y.

Born and raised in Chicago, G. Keith Alexander as a young boy had dreams of becoming a disc jockey and eventually became music director, afternoon jock, and leader of the launch team for his native city’s new station WGCI. His baritone delivery has also resounded over the airwaves of Disco 92 WKTU, 98.7 KISS-FM, former jazz station WRVR, Inner City Broadcasting’s WBLS in the Big Apple, Clear Channel’s Jammin’ 105, and Infinity’s New MIX 102.7.
G. Keith is also the host of “What’s Hot! HarlemAmerica with G. Keith Alexander”, the first podcast hosted on the HarlemAmerica Digital Network. He talks with a great variety of influential black voices in the entertainment industry like Gloria Gaynor, Keith David, Dionne Warwick, Darrin Henson, Phylicia Rashad, and more.

KOOL & THE GANG’S ROBERT KOOL BELL PRESENTS LE KOOL CHAMPAGNE TO THE WORLD
The co-founder of the Grammy Award-winning legendary Kool & the Gang, Robert “Kool” Bell, in partnership with the France-based House of Berthelot – makers of fine champagne – celebrates the creation of a fine “Kool” vintage, Le Kool Champagne.
This new champagne is from a 2012 vintage made up of 80 percent Pinot Noir and 20 percent Chardonnay – a combination so great, like Kool & the Gang have mixed jazz with funk, soul and pop since they formed in 1964.
The partnership between Mr. Bell and Berthelot is the result of a 2016 meeting between Robert/Kool, his partner Mohamed Morretta and Valerie Berthelot. All three parties were very encouraged to create a vintage that would be enjoyed by longtime Kool & the Gang fans – especially those who’ve followed the group, bought their records and attended several concerts since the band released their self-titled first single in 1969.
First launched at La Loge in Reims, France, Le Kool Champagne met immediate sales success in France and Japan. After a recent successful meet-and-greet event at NYC’s Acker Wines, the champagne is now available in New York as well as New Jersey, California and Florida, with more states being added soon.
