Guest Biography

From Cleveland to Chicago to New York City, Jeff Foxx is the consummate personality in radio broadcasting. Jeff Foxx has been “Rockin’ the Box” for more than 30 years in New York City, satellite radio on Sirius XM’s Soul Town and most recently, his syndicated afternoon show in Buffalo.

Jeff’s Broadcasting journey started in the 1980s along with the dawn of rap music. He invaded the New York airwaves in the late 80s before there were  hip-hop radio stations. As Jeff’s persona grew, so did the music. He introduced the world to hip-hop legends like De La Soul and Public Enemy. Traveling throughout the metro area with well-known DJs like Red Alert and Chuck Chillout, Jeff met, worked with and interviewed most of the legends during that vintage hip hop era.

There is much more to Jeff Foxx than his dynamic radio personality. He is also a gifted musician and composer. As an accomplished bass and guitar player, Jeff has written, produced and performed his own music. On his self-titled debut CD, Jeff Foxx features his band performing a mix of funk, R&B and Jazz. His second CD “Pocket” is a tribute to all the iconic bass players that influenced Jeff and brought the genre of funk music to the American public.

The Jeff Foxx Band has been performing live venues and festivals throughout New York and the country for more than 20 years. His radio and music career have taken him throughout the mid-west and up and down the east coast. Playing alongside legends like Isaac Hayes, Roy Ayers and Stevie Wonder, the Jeff Foxx Band is a staple in the New York City community. In the upcoming months, Jeff is slated to tour nationwide with the R&B legendary group the Chi-Lites, whom Jeff had the pleasure of introducing Marshall Thompson of the Chi-Lites into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Jeff can be heard 7 days a week on Sirius XM’s Soul Town, 3pm to 9pm and 107.5 WBLS
