Guest Biography

Skip Dillard joined Audacy New York after serving 12 years as Operations Manager/VP Programming for WBLS/WLIB. For the past year, Skip served in a new role as VP National and Community Partnerships for Mediaco’s WBLS and WQHT. Skip’s career began at Hampton University’s WHOV-FM as a student and volunteering during Summer break at North Carolina A&T State University’s WNAA-FM. Dillard’s career has taken him to great radio markets as both a talent and programmer including Detroit, Buffalo, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Washington DC. In addition to radio, Skip served as Top 40 and Urban managing editor for Billboard Magazine’s Airplay Monitor from 2003-2004. Skip has received numerous honors including “Top PD’s in America”, 2009, 2011, and 2012-Radio Ink Magazine, Certificate of Merit for Community Service-U.S. Congress 2002, the Living Legend’s Foundation honor in 2011, and a Proclamation of service to New York State and New York City Hall 2017. Dillard is a member of the Executive Board of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, a Northeast Board Member for Operation Hope, and just received his second 2-year appointment from FCC Chairperson Jessica Rosenworcel to serve on the FCC’s “Communications Equity and Diversity Council”. A Queens New York City Native raised in Greensboro NC, Skip’s hobbies and passions include photography, reading, technology, playing the piano, and travel. Skip resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and son.
